In the moment that the ball rolled onto Mohammed Siraj’s leg-stump and politely asked the bail to move, Shoaib Bashir was off. It was Chris Woakes who intercepted him first, then it was Ben Duckett, then Harry Brook, then Jofra Archer and finally Ben Stokes.
