Don’t believe the hype. Cricket Australia’s push to privatise the BBL has hit a brick wall with state chairs demanding governance reform and other significant changes before any state - Victoria was singled out - can take its franchises to market.

If it’s not a brick wall, it is a series of obstacles that amount to the same for any state wishing to sell in the near future.

Privatisation in the BBL is not happening anytime soon.
