Big Beau Webster hit the boundary which sealed Australia’s victory in Sydney at 2.20pm on the third day of the Test.
The win sees the home side win back the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the first time in a decade and guarantees them a place in June’s World Test Championship.
A solid 41 from Usman Khawaja and a dashing 22 from Sam Konstas got the side off to a good start, but it was Webster (30no) and Travis Head (39no) who got the side over the line.
