The mystery of the missing cap and the Albion's extinction
EXCLUSIVE
Rumours of the famous Albion baggy green caps’ extinction, much like that of the long-beaked echidna, have proved to be somewhat exaggerated.
Pat Cummins took the field on day two of the second Test with yet another change of baggy green caps.
The Australian captain replaced his worn-out original baggy green after the World Test Championship as it was deemed beyond repair. Questions, however, were raised when he took the field on day one with the old cap, which has the plastic protruding through the frayed material of its peak.
Management revealed the cap had ‘gone missing’.
This morning, Cummins told Cricket Et Al that he “hung it up, then next morning it was gone”.
