We need to talk about Dulip - Samaraweera, that is.  Perhaps you’ve been following the unfolding story of the former Victorian women’s coach with an alleged sideline in grooming.  If so, you’ll be wondering how such a someone can work themselves so deeply into our cricket system, and what that says of the prevailing culture.

Maybe, in fact, we’re about to get somewhere.  Senior Australian cricket sources speaking on condition of anonymity, to use The Smage’s favourite junior Woodward and Bernstein formulation, report that Cricket Australia is preparing the scope for a full-scale, independent review of policies and practices in women’s cricket, their form and implementation, across the country.
