CRICKET ET AL: A NEW OLD PODCAST
The pod is back!
‘We miss the pod’: so Pete and I have been told up hill and down dale since last October when The Australian, which I had left and Pete was to leave, killed off ‘Cricket Et Cetera’, our ramshackle audio brain dump. And it’s been lovely, but also galling, because we both missed it also - all our conversations since have seemed like content gone begging. Anyway, now we’ve both extracted ourselves from the debris of a once quite good national daily, we’ve dusted off our microphones, updated our browsers and tuned into cricket once more.
In a brand extension of the Substack to which you’re a subscriber, our new venture is also ‘Cricket Et Al’, and honestly it’s like we’ve never been away: in our first episode, named ‘Man ‘O Action’ in honour of the impact sub, we have our usual ramble round the week of cricket news and rummage in our music collections, also reporting on the enigma of Will Pucovski and lunch with Chappelli. Plus a top 10! We’ll be back weekly if we can get our shit together sufficiently, and intend to be match fit for the T20 World Cup. Stay tuned.

Nice. I gave up on the 'once quite good national daily' some years ago and other than Sunday mornings on the ABC I have missed you and Peter since then. I'm delighted to have found you both again, and now in more than one format.
Btw… the only reason i subscribed to “The Australian” was for your articles.. both of you.. unashamedly “Unsubscribed” now…. 😎
