Michael Clarke deserves his place in the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame

In 2010, having had to make a quick dash back to Australia to deal with affairs of the heart, Michael Clarke scored 168 in the first innings of the Test match against New Zealand in Wellington.
The entire New Zealand side managed just 157 in its initial response and the Australian was announced as player of the match for his efforts, but much reporting was still focused on the fallout from his home life.
The medal he received was later retrieved from the waste paper bin and given to me on the off chance my son would appreciate it. He didn’t, but the item is somewhere in the house.
The whole episode was so very Michael Clarke.
