There may be a Bendigo / Geelong ( and therefore Cricket et al) extension of the Robert Harvey distinction of playing AFL and taking 5 1st grade wickets. Have a look at the career of Kevin Sheehan, who played for Geelong in the ‘70s and who was described by his brother Gerard, my boss at Sheehan’s Sport Store, Fountain Plaza Bendigo, as “a better cricketer than footballer …who could have played Shield”. A scion of the Rising Sun Hotel family. Not sure what he bowled, but possibly one of the other two of that rarefied trio Mick mentioned. I don’t know how he polled in the Brownlow, though.
