Didn’t the A League rid itself of ethnic backed/based teams at the elite level - Marconi, Olympic, Maccabi etc, to promote inclusion and dilute division? An Indian owned franchise taking the reins of CV’s new BBL team to attract more of the Indian diaspora in Melbourne sounds like Back to the Future to me.
