New Pod Ep: Memories Are Made of This
Et Al meets the Ashes
Pete and Gideon kick back a while to luxuriate in their favourite Ashes memories, from Melbourne ‘82 to Headingley ‘19, from Pete’s affinity for Jim Higgs to Gideon’s admiration for the Hammond Sauce Works Band. Also: the ball of the twenty-first century? Plus: Pete’s favourite toilet cubicle.

We also paid a visit to TGC yesterday, alongside Campbell Kellaway and Ollie Peake. They have a studio and everything…..

Jim Higgs lived in our street when I was a kid. He was playing for Australia at the time and used to come out and play with us in the street. When he wasn’t playing, he’d have a beer with my Dad as they chatted and watched on. He gave me an almost brand new four piece ball which I treasured for years. What a bowler. What a guy.
The Ashes if the one series where I'd rather watch a 5-0 whitewash over a tight contest
