This is an absolutely brilliant podcast. Thank you Gideon and Pete. The Man in the Iron Mask is an extraordinary investigation. An unusual and compelling work: meticulously researched, quietly provocative, and full of compassion. I tuned in on a car journey expecting to hear some cricket chat so a bit of a surprise but this had me absolutely hooked from start to finish.
As a town planner. I am struggling to understand how the demolition of a row of buildings doesn’t otherwise change the streetscape the buildings were formerly located. Unless the reconstruction of buildings matches those demolished of course.
I feel your pain Gideon -- he lost my last book too ...
Fascinating story. I can see plenty of similarities between Bill and Dostoyevsky’s underground man. Might have to rewatch Taxi Driver

Sounds very intriguing, is there an easy way to order from the UK?
