In his playing days Alan Knott was asked if he'd consider standing up to the medium paced and fast medium bowlers like the keepers did in former times, Evans to Bedser being a prime example. The reply was along the the lines of the risks being not worth the possible rewards. A shame Alan doesn't seem to give interviews these days as his views on present day keeping trends would be very interesting. Thanks for the toon as well, RIP Anita

My daughter who has just moved to London was there and said it was a great experience-she was hoarse from all the singing and shouting- a great day indeed. She now has one up on her Dad- seeing a game at Lords
MAGNIFICENT!! The greatest sporting team ever to come out of Australia. Forget Braddles mob who only played and won against a country that was still reeling from World War II. And, and the captain was from Gippsland!! Sorry to say the coverage on TV in OZ has been diabolical very little on ABC a huge disappointment. WHAT A TEAM OF CHAMPIONS and including to country girls from Vic and a Geelong supporter. Can you beat that?
