Has a Test match ever pivoted so utterly on a single spell?  Since Jasprit Bumrah busted the home top order open like a piñata in his first six overs after tea on the first day, this match has showered gifts on India, and left Australia an empty shell.  It turned everything: now it has turned Virat Kohli too.

As the great man came in to salaams after his thirtieth Test century tonight, the stadium disc jockey had the presence of mind to play ‘Don’t Change’ - the old INXS banger has hardly ever sounded more appropriate.  It may not have been a brand from the burning, given the strength of India’s position when he came to the wicket, but was in the best Kohli vein - disciplined, dynamic, and focused entirely on winning.
