Absolutely incredible post, Pete! What a story, what absolute horror and humanity. Humans are the most destructive animals to ever walk the planet, but they are also capable of being the best and the kindest.
Thanks again for opening our eyes. This pod/website/YouTube Channel is just amazing
More great work, Pete. Give Craig Williams (jockey) a call. And/or email him a copy of this. He and his wife have been actively giving in-person support to Ukraine. If he doesn't already know about this, he'll likely be good to play a part
Our son has just been deployed to the front line in Ukraine. He’s a foreign legion fighter. Given this we could adopt a team sports approach to our/the misery of this conflict. We consciously refuse to do this. Instead, we can hold two stories. We can support our son. Love him. Remain curious as to his chosen radical initiation into adulthood. And, we can know that to take sides, to only listen to the propaganda of one side of the battlefield, will only promote more war, more suffering. If western journalists reported the conflict for what it really is, and exposed the meddling from third parties that initiated the violence, the suffering would cease. We are grieving for our son, grieving for all the death of sons across the two countries, the lost limbs and innocence, the pain of the families, and for the western media who sell content on the back of other people’s suffering.
Again the et al trumps the cricket. What horror. Keep up the great work.
You should send this article to Putin and see if he has any humanity
Great post Pete. These are inspiring individuals.
Great story but harrowing understanding the results of this terrible war on two young men defending their country against a truly despicable dictator.
It also serves to highlight the bizarre stance Trump is taking in parroting Putin and Russian propaganda.

Excellent, as usual. These guys need to know they're supported.
