A disgruntled group of former Cricket Australia employees will meet for a drink in a Melbourne pub this week after losing their jobs in a process that is the subject of a whistleblower report and external investigation that could have widespread consequences.

More than 20 IT staff have been moved on, 17 of them finishing up last week, despite the investigation into a whistleblower report that makes serious allegations against recently appointed department heads, with allegations that over $600,000 in contracts have been awarded without due process.
