Wonderful! The preserved head of St Catherine in Siena is one of my favourites. Beautiful images too Pete.

Very “et al” today! When you mentioned the National Tile Museum, my mind forced me to read it in the style of Frank Walker doing his “National Tiles” commercial…

This Portuguese Australian loved your reflections on Portugal. Bem feito, Pedro.

Hope you got to see the azulejos at Porto’s São Bento railway station. Or on your next trip to 🇵🇹, head south to the Chapel of Bones in Évora.

Enjoy England. From personal experience e, the Derwent Pencil Museum in Keswick is a good stop when walking through the Lake District.

Wonderful post Pete, thanks so much - haven't been to Goa, but have seen St. Francis' arm in the Gesu church in Rome - the church is well worth a visit if you are there.

Thanks, excellent as always. Having visited the Basilica of Bom Jesus, as a dutiful Goan, I loved your telling of the history of St Francis and the gore. Was not aware of the shoulder chopping!

Wonderful thx Pete- loved that Tile museum- did you visit the Alfama area of Lisbon where St Anthony was born ? - fascinating - & try some Portuguese custard tarts - yummo as Rick Stein would say- reminds me that the nuns of Lisbon also make conventual sweets called at Agatha’s breasts- ill leave the rest to you ! - I hope you & Gideon enjoy the cricket
