Oh yeah that's indeed the money shot right there! Golden late afternoon light as sun sets on bball or some other feeble metaphor. I imagine there's a lot of hard graft in being a cricket photographer (or any photographer) that does pay off, but you have to love it when pure dumb luck delivers!!
PB - just one of the beauties of the best ground in Oz. Whatever time of the year you get wonderful pics. Footy at twilight pics across St Peters, planes coming over etc. etc. I gave up paying that $35 a couple of years ago. Love to walk down from Le Fevre and not wasting that scandalous price. PB can you get in touch with me please PL or HG have my details.

Great work. Really like the composition and light in this photo.
The team huddle is a strong symbol. The old scoreboard and its brevity of information summarises the result with clarity.
Majestic! Here’s to closed car parks
Brilliant!
What a brilliant picture. You should be very proud.
Crikey Green and Webster tower over that huddle. Wonderful shot. Thanks.
Brilliant flick
Fantastic shot! And, like so many great photos, a combination of serendipity and skill required.
One question - who is the giant at the back? I’m assuming Beau Webster, but I didn’t think it looked like him.
